Cafezinho

In Brazil, coffee is more than a drink — it is a ritual. The cafezinho, or “little coffee,” is the small, strong cup offered to every guest who walks through the door, at any hour of the day. Our Cafezinho dark roast bottles that spirit of hospitality: deep, rich, and always ready to pour.

A Dark Roast with Brazilian Soul

Dark roasts often trade character for intensity. Cafezinho refuses that deal. We roast carefully selected Brazilian coffees dark enough to develop deep chocolate richness, yet gently enough to protect their natural sweetness. As a result, the cup stays smooth and velvety rather than bitter or ashy. This is intensity with manners — bold on arrival, soft on the landing.

What’s in the Cup

Expect deep dark chocolate first, followed by molasses sweetness and a velvety texture that softens the intensity. The finish is smooth and enveloping, lingering with gentle sweetness instead of burnt edges. Consequently, this coffee suits any time of day, exactly as a proper cafezinho should. Morning jolt, afternoon pick-me-up, or after-dinner cup: it never feels out of place.

Brewing Your Cafezinho

In Brazil, the classic method is simple: brew it strong through a cloth or paper filter, then sweeten to taste and serve in small cups. At home, it also makes a rich drip or French press, and its chocolate depth turns espresso into pure velvet. For milk drinks, few coffees hold their own better. Start with a 1:15 ratio for a traditionally strong cup and adjust from there.
