Sítio Boa Vista

Sítio Boa Vista belongs to Alessandro Alves Hervaz, a quality pioneer in one of Brazil’s most celebrated coffee regions. His small farm sits in the community of Ressaca, near São Gonçalo do Sapucaí in the Mantiqueira de Minas. The cup he produces there is a beauty: raspberry brightness, milk chocolate comfort, and a juicy orange finish.

About Sítio Boa Vista

The Mantiqueira Mountains of southern Minas Gerais are famous for sweet, clean, and bright coffees. High altitudes slow ripening, while countless mountain springs keep the slopes green. Alessandro farms these conditions with intention. Moreover, his leadership reaches beyond his own fences: he served as president of APAS, the Associação dos Produtores do Alto da Serra, helping neighboring growers raise their quality together. That community spirit helped put this corner of the Mantiqueira on the specialty coffee map. For this lot, he processed the cherries as a natural. They dry whole in the sun, and the slow fermentation inside the fruit builds sweetness and depth.

What’s in the Cup

Raspberry leads, bright and juicy. Next comes milk chocolate, smooth and comforting. Finally, a sweet orange note lifts the finish. The balance between fruit and comfort makes this an easy microlot to love. Consequently, it shines as a pour-over, where the fruit sparkles, and it makes a sweet, rounded drip. For filter brewing, start with a 1:16 ratio and adjust to taste.

Like all of our microlots, this is a limited harvest — once this lot is gone, it’s gone. Explore the collection for more small-lot discoveries. Or better yet, let us bring coffees like this to your door with the Brazilian Coffee Lovers Club. Members receive a featured single-farm coffee each month, plus 5% off every microlot.
