Sítio dos Cedros

Dério Brioschi of Sítio dos Cedros consistently produces some of the best coffees in Brazil. As a teenager, in 2014, he won the Venda Nova do Imigrante municipal coffee competition—the first of many awards since, including the coveted prize for Brazil’s best late-harvest coffee. A descendant of Italian immigrants, Dério comes from five generations of coffee growers in the Caparaó mountains. Sítio dos Cedros is his nod to this tradition and part of the larger family farm, Fazenda Tapera, which was later divided through inheritance and is now under his care.

Dério graduated from the Food Science and Technology program at the Federal Institute of Espírito Santo, where he studied processing under Professor Lucas Louzada. He later interned at Coffee Lab International, one of the world’s most respected coffee analysis labs. At Sítio dos Cedros, he cultivates Catuaí Vermelho, Catucaí 785, Arara, Catucaí-açu, and Gesha, producing fully washed, natural, and pulped-natural coffees. His standout late-harvest lots are intensely sweet and complex, with notes of caramel, orange, jasmine, and sweet corn—a distinctive profile synonymous with Espírito Santo’s finest coffees.
