January 2023 Playlist: Bossa Nova by Nossas Novas

What better way to start off the year than with some Bossa (Nova) to go with your Bossa (Blend)!  We invited Nossas Novas from our hometown of Austin, Texas, to pick some of their favorite Bossa Nova favorites for us. About Nossas Novas

Nossas Novas is Austin, Texas’s premiere Brazilian Bossa Nova band. Formed in 2019 by vocalist Sonia McLaughlin, a Brazilian and American Austinite, Nossas Novas celebrates the pleasures and charm of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, and is inspired by bossa nova, tropicália, and samba culture. In addition to bossa nova, the six-piece band has expanded into playing samba jazz as well as Brazilian rock and funk covers and has played various venues, holding residencies at Sagebrush and C-Boy's Heart & Soul. The band consists of some of Austin, Texas’s finest musicians and is known for engaging and lively shows.
